Detergent fibre analysis: experience, special features and outlook - Equipment-specific influences

Determination of detergent fibre fractions is an important field in fibre analysis, specifically covering the determination of neutral detergent fibre (aNDF), acid detergent fibre (ADF) and acid detergent lignin (ADL). In the feedstuff industry, in particular, determining these parameters is an essential part of quality assurance for end products. For this reason, there is strong demand for an analysis method that is as efficient and error-free as possible.

From an analytical perspective, there are various ways to detect the detergent fibre fractions, each of which has its own feedstuff-specific and apparatus-specific properties. One of these methods is our FIBRETHERM combined with our FibreBag technology, which work together to provide a rapid, reliable and analytically precise method for determining detergent fibre fractions.

The present report explains and compares the various different analysis devices and how they analyse detergent fibre fractions, including the method using FIBRETHERM and FibreBags.
